🛡️ Safety First: The Golden Rules of Recreational Diving
No matter how many logged dives you have, safety should always remain your top priority. Ensure every dive is a safe one by adhering to these non-negotiable guidelines:
- Always Dive with a Buddy: Your buddy is your lifeline. Stay within visual contact and perform a thorough BWRAF pre-dive safety check together.
- Plan Your Dive, Dive Your Plan: Agree on the maximum depth, bottom time, and turn-around pressure before jumping in. Never exceed these limits.
- The 5-Point Ascent: When heading up, look up, reach up, signal your buddy, ascend at a maximum rate of 9 meters per minute, and never skip your 3-minute safety stop at 5 meters.
Remember, anyone can call off a dive at any time for any reason. Listen to your gut.
